Sony Sangay Choden, a friend of mine, who is a fashion designer asked me to take pictures of her self designed textiles. She is using traditional fabrics to create very beautiful clothes that are modern and traditonal at the same time.
Sony is also choreographing the fashion show that is taking place in Thimphu every year on the occasion of the annual Crafts Festival.
Deki, a very talented model at this show, was modelling for us.
My idea and intention was to put her just in the middle of everyday Thimphu street life (that looks always very picturesque and exciting to me). So we did some kind of improvising photography, trying to interact with the given surrounding.
